Are smart locks secure?

Yes, smart locks are designed with advanced security features to keep your home safe. While no system is completely immune to cyber threats, smart locks use encryption and authentication protocols to prevent unauthorized access. Choosing a reputable brand and keeping software updated further enhances security.

What happens if I lose my smartphone or the battery dies?

If your smart lock is connected via Bluetooth or an app, you can unlock it as long as your phone has some battery left. In case your phone is lost or completely out of charge, most smart locks come with backup options like a physical key or alternative access methods, ensuring you're never locked out.

What is the main function of a smart lock?

A smart lock is helpful for controlling access to a home or workplace. Owners can control access while enabling an intrusion-free experience. These are locks that do not require physical keys for unlocking.

The Lavna door lock itself is solid and works well. It feels reliable and is fairly easy to set up once installed. However, I had to pay extra for installation, and finding a technician to do it was quite difficult. That part was frustrating and took away from the otherwise smooth experience. Overall, the product is good, but the installation process could definitely be improved.

Using the LAVNA smart padlock for around 7–8 months now. Honestly, it just works—no drama. Battery lasted longer than I expected, build feels solid in hand, and fingerprint unlock is quick most of the time.

Works seamlessly build quality is sturdy enough for main doors. First the device needs to be configured in the app only then we can add secured fingerprint.
